Dear Friends,

September 13th marked one year since we first received my diagnosis (stage 4 pancreatic cancer), I find myself reflecting deeply on all that God has done in these past twelve months. It is hard to even put into words. Those early days were filled with uncertainty, sleepless nights, and moments of real fear. Courtney and I can both remember sitting together, praying through tears, not knowing what the future would hold.

And yet, even in the midst of that valley, the Lord was faithful. He gave us the ability to trust Him when our strength was gone, and He surrounded us with family, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ who rallied around us in prayer and support.

We have seen the truth of Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians 1:11 lived out in our own lives….

“You also must help us by prayer, so that many will give thanks on our behalf for the blessing granted us through the prayers of many.”
— 2 Corinthians 1:11 (ESV)

The prayers lifted up on our behalf is something we continue to give thanks for. We know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God heard them and answered them. I am here today, healthy and alive, because of His mercy and grace. Thank you for going before the Lord on my behalf and lifting me and my family up.
